HI, I connected the Management console GUI to a remote computer and now I cannot view/update/manage any of the other servers previously setup in EventSentry. All actions through the Management console only apply the the current server.
How do I get back to an "overview" in the Management Console so that I can manage all the servers I monitor?
Hi Paul,
Typically a connection to a remote system is not necessary when using the EventSentry Management Console, this is why you get a warning message when you attempt to do this.
When you are connected to a remote system, you are only able to manage that particular system (instead of your entire hierarchy) which is he results you are currently seeing.
To get back to your management system, you should be able to simply right click on the remote system and select 'Disconnect' or simply exit the EventSentry application and restart.
HI Steve, Thanks for the help. unfortuunately the disconnect option is greyed out.
The"remote" computer is actualy the local computer (on which EventSentry is installed but I can only see it in the groups tree, whereas before I could see all 15 servers.
I have tried restarting the Management Console but I am still connected the the server (Monitors-VS(local)).
Cheers,
Paul
Hi Paul,
Would it be possible for you to send your configuration into support@netikus.net? You can do this by going to File > Export in the EventSentry management console. Also, if you have a backup .reg file located in C:\Program Files\EventSentry\Backups (or C:\Program Files (x86)\EventSentry\Backups), could you send the latest one of those too?
Steven
